SFA Presidential Suite

The SFA Design Center was asked to update and renovate the existing Presidential Suite located on the third floor of the Austin Building on the Stephen F. Austin State University campus. The goal of the renovation was to modernize the area, as well as replace the orange color scheme that represents the official school color of our rival University. The client wanted the space to “look more as if we are at SFA” – Client. To achieve this, the Design Center incorporated fabrics that had pops of purple with a neutral color palette. The Design Center chose the two, Gunlocke and National furniture manufacturers for most of the new furniture selected. Limiting to two manufactures we are able to match the laminates more precisely. The desk will be custom built by Gunlocke. In addition, by limiting the furniture to two manufacturers, we have the opportunity to obtain a higher discount for the University. The suite requires a reception/waiting area that can hold a minimum of 10 guest. Lounge furniture will provide a formal, but comfortable waiting area for guest to speak to the University’s President. The finishes will be neutral to provide an executive appearance in the space. The wood wall paneling located in the office will be replaced with Benjamin Moore-Thunder, paint.
